2017 TIME SHAPES Exhibition

Carolyn DL flier

I am constantly inspired by the wonderful shapes of trees, their silhouettes against the sky and the way they blend into their surroundings in the environment. This idea I also applied to the seascapes and landscapes, whilst expressing concepts of the underlying beauty and complexity of the natural world. Colour is very importent to me and I like to experiment with different palettes. In this exhibition I muted the colours in both paintings and digital works to express an idea of timelessness in the works, giving them a dreamlike quality.
